Ad Metrics

Maybe a little off-topic but do Google.com, YouTube.com, Facebook.com, Bing.com and so on allow third party trackers on their property?  As in do they allow GroupM to just insert whatever javascript they want *site-wide*? I think not. It would be terrible for someone else to have a play-by-play of every visitor ever visiting your website. Think about it. It is basically like allowing them to look at your accounting books. I think of it as if Walmart allowed me (not a Walmart employee) to just follow all shoppers as they enter Walmart and shop around. It would be pretty insane to allow it not because Walmart cares about its customers but because someone else has data about Walmart business. They could easily "miscalculate" trends and cause disasters for Walmart stock. The writing is on the wall. Nobody likes ads. There are people who *tolerate* ads but nobody I think likes them. From the push towards YouTube Red, I imagine even YouTube does not like third-party tracking (at least not on YouTube.com). I mean it makes sense. I don't want people to track metrics on my platform. I want learn about people on my platform and then using that knowledge, I want to serve better ads as they go around the web.
